The village has lots of activities for children, and to make it easier for parents and children to know what's available for children at a glance, we've amalgamated all the village activities in one section.

Southmoor, Longworth & Stanford-in-the-Vale Children’s Centre are starting a monthly Saturdads group in Stanford Village Hall.
The first session will be Saturday November 27th 10-11.30am. Open to all dads/male carers and their children. Toys, craft activities and bacon sandwiches!

Southmoor Pre-School (term time only) - Southmoor Village Hall
Monday-Thursday daily from 9.15am to 12 noon 2 yrs.6 mths - 5 years (Monday sessions min age 3)

Southmoor Toddler Group - Southmoor Village Hall
Music for the under 5's
A fun group for under 5s in Southmoor Village Hall Tuesday mornings 9.30am-10.15am for 10 weeks starting Tuesday 27th April.
Have fun making music for under 5s with a parent or carer, try out lots of musical instruments and props with big action songs and familiar nursery rhymes.
An entertaining but educational class learning simple songs, rhymes and actions developing an awareness of number, colour and shape and observations of the weather and seasons.

Longworth Baby & Toddler Group (term time only) - Longworth Village Hall
Monday mornings from 9.45 - 11.15 am offers play and activities for small children. Cost £1.00 incl. refreshments (1st visit free). Grandparents, parents and carers welcome. For further details contact JESS on 01865 821867.
Friday mornings from 10.00 am to 11.30 am, including the school holidays. We offer play and activities for the little ones, coffee and chat for those looking after them, all for £1.50. Grandparents, parents and carers very welcome. For further details contact HELEN CLEAR 01865 821976.

Children's Centres are for children 0-5 and their parents/carers. We offer outreach services, information and advice, activities for children, links with JobCentre Plus, dads groups, etc.
